Jerome "The Bus" Bettis is considered one of the best running backs in NFL® history. Among his many professional accomplishments, he is fifth on the NFL®'s all-time rushing list, was 1993 Rookie of the Year and was named to the Pro Bowl six times. In 2006, he was instrumental in the Pittsburgh Steelers' win in Super Bowl XL in his hometown of Detroit.
Off the field, Mr. Bettis has long been a champion of community involvement. While still playing, he founded the not-for-profit The Bus Stops Here Foundation. He has also established a scholarship program for seniors graduating from his former high school, McKenzie High, and every summer he hosts the legendary Reggie McKenzie Football Camp, where he was formerly a camper.
Since retiring from the NFL®, Mr. Bettis has become a television football analyst and is increasingly involved in promoting the importance of heart-healthy eating.
