Use this chart to determine how your BMI rates for adults over age 20.
BMI Categories
Underweight = <18.5
Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
Overweight = 25-29.9
Obesity = 30 or greater


It is important to remember that BMI is only one of the many factors that can be used to predict risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. Other factors to consider include diet, physical activity levels, waist circumference, cholesterol level and stress level. If you are concerned about your result, seek advice from your doctor.
